PLANT ARCHIVES: BEIJING ARBORETUM - PART 1
During my visit to the Beijing Botanical Gardens, I was also initially attracted by the carefully cultivated and purposely arranged plants, which represent the exhibits that the Botanical Gardens would most like to show you. But I chose the unknown plants that also settled in the Botanical Gardens but quietly went through their lives in the corners.
Clover and plantain, for example, are well known, but do you really pay attention when passing them? They have the same rich structure as other plants, the same complete life cycle, and the same desire for fertile soil, clean water, and warm sunshine. I have to show them some care, which is making up for the lack of my previous observations.
Of course, outside of these tiny plants, I also depicted some tall trees, some rare species in botanical gardens, and some staunch forces in the green belts that silently guard the city.
A big thanks to my dear friend and mentor, Xiaolei Hou.
Oxalis acetosella (common wood sorrel)
